1. Perfect Love and the Character of God–P1–P2: 1 John 4:7-8
Part Two: God’s general love for mankind manifests itself in several ways.
First, He shows His love through “common grace”. (Psalm 145:9); Secondly, God reveals His love in delaying His final judgment against unrepentant sinners. (2 Peter 3:9); Thirdly, God extends His love to the whole world through His general offer of the gospel. (Matthew 11:28-30); Fourthly, the general love of the gospel is limited to this life. (Matthew 25:41-46); Conclusion: God has an eternal love that He lavishes on everyone who believes. (Revelation 22:17-20)
